Top 30 Strongest Passports in the World 2023, Indonesia Rises in Ranking
Travelin me- On Tuesday (18/07/2023), the Henley Passport Index report released a list of the strongest passports in the world in 2023. In the list, which is updated every three months, the Singapore passport is the strongest passport in the world 2023 because it allows holders to travel to 192 destinations visa-free.

"German, Italian, and Spanish (passports) rose to second place with visa-free access to 190 destinations," read a statement from the report, quoted Wednesday (19/7/2023).
Meanwhile, in the third rank of the strongest passports in the world 2023 are from Japan, Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, South Korea, and Sweden. Passport holders can visit 189 destinations visa-free.
Next in fourth position are the UK, Netherlands, Ireland, and Denmark with visa-free access to 188 destinations. When compared to 2022, the UK moved up two spots from sixth.
However, the U.S. passport dropped to eighth with access to 184 destinations visa-free. In 2022, the U.S. passport came in seventh.
Indonesian passport rises in rank
So, among these sequences, where is the Indonesian passport?
In 2022, Indonesian passports ranked 76th with visa-free access to 72 destinations for holders.
Later this year, Indonesian passports rose to rank 69th with visa-free access to 73 destinations.
Quoted from the Henley &; Partners page, some of these destinations, including Fiji, Qatar, Turkiye, Malaysia, Singapore, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, and Morocco.
Meanwhile, in addition to Singapore and Indonesia, passports from other countries in Southeast Asia are in the top 25, some are in the top 90.
Malaysia, for example, ranked 11th, followed by Brunei at 20th, Timor-Leste at 55th, Thailand at 64th, and the Philippines at 74th.
Next there are Cambodia and Vietnam in 82nd place, Laos in 87th place, and Myanmar in 89th place.

The list of the strongest passports in the world 2023 was created based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
